Credential Requirements: 

·        Valid California Multiple Subjects Credential  and CLAD/BCLAD  or EL-Authorization

·        Successful completion of basic skills (CBEST)

·        Copy of Subject Matter Exam for NCLB compliance



Education:  M.A. or M.S. required; CPR/First Aid Certification required before first day of employment.

Experience: A minimum of five (5) years successful teaching experience; a minimum of one (1) year previous teacher leadership or support experience; Previous Consulting/Out of Classroom Experience Desired

Responsibilities: Support classroom teachers in developing effective instructional practices through the coaching process.  Conduct demonstration lessons that model effective instructional practices.  Conduct classroom observations and provide support with appropriate feedback for all teachers.  Work with teachers and staff to implement ELD, curriculum, standards, and EL strategies.  Facilitate grade level and/or content area team meetings focused on instruction and curriculum mapping.  Facilitate grade level and/or content area team meetings focused on the analysis of formative assessments to guide instruction to assist grade level teams in setting goals for improved instruction.  Plan and provide staff development sessions that are in line with the school’s philosophy, instructional goals and curriculum objectives. Provide support to teachers with the implementation of Common Core Standards. Assist teachers in the identification of appropriate interventions for students.  Collaborate with site administrators, teachers, students and parents to enhance school instructional programs.

Brief Description of the Position: Under the direction and supervision of the School Director/or designee, provide leadership, support, and training to classroom teachers on effective best practices to ensure student success. Provide support on the implementation and assessment of the school’s curriculum and instructional programs.
