Credential Requirements: 

·        Valid appropriate California Multiple Subjects Credential  & Single Subject Credential in Art                                                                                    

·        CLAD or BCLAD certification- EL Authorization

·        Successful completion of basic skills (CBEST)

·        Copy of results of Subject Matter Exam- CSET- multiple subject and Art for NCLB compliance

Education: B.A or B.S. degree required.  M.A. or M.S. preferred but not required; CPR/First Aid Certification required before first day of employment.

Experience: Two or more years of successful experience teaching elementary school students preferred but not required.

Personal Qualifications: Dynamic character, flexible, team player and proper social capability to relate effectively with diverse staff, students, parents and community. Ability to work with a wide variety of learners.

Brief Description of the Position: Under the direction and supervision of the School Director/or designee, the candidate will plan instruction, teach, differentiate instruction, motivate, inspire and assess students in the area of Art.  Helps students grow in their enjoyment and appreciation of various forms of Art through a variety of planned Art experiences  following Common Core Standards. The candidate will promote a high quality, personalized education program that includes an understanding of different learning styles and disabilities and carry out other assigned related duties necessary to the successful operation of the school.
