Principal's Message
Dear EBC Community,
I am thankful to have the privilege of serving as Principal at Edward B. Cole, Sr. Academy. It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2023-24 school year. I have dedicated 17 years of service to the field of education. Throughout my professional journey, I have served as a classroom teacher for 12 years, honing my skills in guiding and inspiring students to excel academically and personally. Additionally, I have spent 5 years in various administrative positions, where I have contributed to shaping educational policies and fostering a positive learning environment for both students and fellow educators. My academic journey led me to two esteemed institutions: Vanguard University and Concordia University. These experiences provided me with a solid foundation in educational theory and practice, empowering me to evolve as an educator and leader continually. I firmly believe in developing the leader in others, recognizing that each individual possesses unique strengths and potential waiting to be unlocked. By fostering an environment of support, empowerment, and encouragement, I strive to help students and colleagues reach their fullest potential, both academically and personally.
I personally was drawn to joining EBC because of the focus on community and family. The EBC staff is a team of talented and dedicated professionals. We are here to serve our community and all of your families. As parents, I know you all want your sons and daughters to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. You want them to become adults that can advocate for themselves and for others. You want your children to be able to have their own voice and make their own choices throughout life. At EBC, we are committed to helping your students grow into our nation’s leaders for tomorrow. Your son or daughter will one day be leading the fight for equality and fair treatment for all peoples. For all we know, your child may become the eventual President of the United States.
Here at EBC, we are going to challenge your student academically while also ensuring they know they are valued and feel safe. We are going to expect your student’s top effort each and every day. Ultimately, EBC is going to build on the successes of our past and take our achievements to new heights. Our expectations will be raised because we know your students can meet them. Thank you for entrusting the EBC team with working alongside your students this upcoming school year. As partners, it is critical that the school and parent community work together to ensure your student develops into a successful 21st century citizen. I ask that you guide and support your student’s learning by ensuring that he/she:
