Introduction

Hello, my name is Jennifer Oh and I am so excited to be teaching 3rd grade this year at EBC. I attended the University of California, Irvine for my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Ecology and minored in Educational Studies. While I was pursuing my undergraduate studies, I formed a heart for teaching and decided to pursue a minor in Educational Studies. After college, I received my teaching credential from California State University, Long Beach.

Some of my hobbies and interest outside of teaching are finding new places to eat with my friends, watching tv shows at home, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with my family and friends while traveling to new places. I was born in Vancouver, Canada and immigrated to Southern California with my family when I was 3 years old. I have a younger brother and a dog named Denver.

The reason I love being an educator is that I love the relational aspect of being a teacher. I love the special bond that you form when teaching kids and seeing the fruits of your hard labor. I love when their "light bulbs" come on and they suddenly understand an topic that was very challenging for them. My goal as a educator is to ensure that I equip my students with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive both in the classroom and in our global community.
